LONGBENTON

Longbenton is a district of North Tyneside, to the east of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. The population of Longbenton is around 11,000 residents.

Local government buildings, sports facilities and business parks occupy a large proportion of the suburb.
Housing in Longbenton comprises a mix of privately-owned dwellings, social housing and rental properties.

The southern and central areas are maily dominated by a mix of Tyneside flats, semi-detached, detached properties, apartment blocks.

Local government social housing estates are present to north of the Metro lines running parallel to Benton Park Road.
Longbenton has excellent transport connections between Newcastle upon Tyne and Tynemouth on the coast.

The two main roads are Benton Road (A188) running in a northerly direction and Benton Park Road (A191) trending east-west. Boith roads meet up at a local junction called Four Lane Ends.

Four Lane Ends Interchange is a tranpsort hub where buses and local trains (the Metro) services meet. On-site park and ride facilities exist for cars.

From here local buses and Metro trains connect Longbenton to the surrounding areas.

The area has four primary schools and two secondary schools. The primary schools are Benton Dene Primary School, Balliol Primary School, St Bartholomew's and St. Stephen's Primary School. The secondary schools are Longbenton Community College and St Mary's Catholic Comprehensive School.

Four Lane Ends is the focal point for most of the local shops. Shops and amenities include Tesco express, Iceland, Lloyds Bank, takeaway food outlets, Kwik Fit tyres, and an Esso garage.

The nearest supermarket is Sainsbury's just to the south in High Heaton, off Benton Road
Longbenton has two business parks to the north, Balliol and Quorum.

Balliol Business Park, between Salter's Lane and Benton Lane, includes a BT call centre and food production facilties for Greggs and Country Style Foods.

Quorum Business Park, to the east of Benton Lane, has numerous tenants including Greggs national head office, Balfour Beatty, Tesco Bank, Engie, Ebiquity, Fabricom Offshore Services, Home Group, Insurethebox, and Squarehealth.
Benton Park View, and nearby Tyneview Park, are home to government offices for the the HM Revenue & Customs and the Department for Work & Pensions. Together they employ over 7,500 staff.

Longbenton has a lot of sports pitches, both grass and artificial, most of which are used for football matches or football training.

Most are located off Coach Lane and include Longbenton Sports Ground, Northumberland Football Association and the training ground for the local premiership football team Newcastle United.

Novocastrians is the local resident rugby club and their ground is off The Drive, off Benton Road near the Newton pub.

Follow Station Road (A186), then the A191 and Benton Lane (A188) to Tesco Bank in Quorum Busniness Park.

Leave the Quorum Business Park, follow the A188 Benton Lane towards Newcastle upon Tyne.

From The Cloisters head west towards Newcastle on the A191, turn right into the estate where the new Lidl is located.

Head north off Benton Park Road, taking a few quick left and rights until the office appears immediately in front.


Client visits Ministry Close to look at property for sale.

Heading back onto the Benton Park Road (A191), client heads east, past the entrance to government office at Benton Park View and takes the next immediate right into Ministry Close.


Client visits Kwik Fit at Four Lane Ends to get tyres checked.
Client visits Longbenton Sports Ground.
Client leaves Longbenton Sports Ground to visit neaby properties by Taylor Wimpey.

Heads back to Coach Lane, turns right, then right again onto Front street (A191).

Turns right after 0.5 miles onto Darsley Gardens to view properties.
Client leaves Darsley Gardens to view property in Westminster Way.

Follows the A191 west, back to the Coach Lane junction.

Follows Coach Lane south for about 0.5 miles and turns left onto Westminster Way to view more property.
From Westminster Way.

Client seads south on Westminster Way towards Shrewsbury Close, turns onto Coach Lane.

Then immediate left on Fairburn Avenue, then left again and a final left to get bacl onto Benton Road (A188).

And finally turns left into Manor Park estate to view final properties.
After viewing final properties at Manor Park estate, our client leaves the estate to head back to our office to discuss mortgage deals for longbenton.

Travels along Benton Road, turns left on the Coast Road (A1058) and heads east. Turns off on A186 and parks up at 136-138 Station Road outside of our offices.
